OIE training course on GIS management and spatial analysis in veterinary public health

Addressing animal health emergencies with the aid of GIS (geographic information system) potential and technology. 

This will be the focus of discussion, from 10 to 14 November near Venice, during the theoretical-practical OIE (World Organization for Animal Health) training course on GIS management and spatial analysis in veterinary public health.

The course is organized by the OIE  in conjunction with the Istituto Zooprofilattico Sperimentale delle Venezie – Collaborating Centre for Epidemiology, training and control of emerging avian diseases (Italy), and the OIE Collaborating Centre for Veterinary epidemiology and public health – EpiCentre/mEpilab (New Zealand).

The main emphasis of the training was on the application of GIS systems in avian emergency management.
