The European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) and the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) kindly invite you to join the webinar “West Nile virus and Usutu virus infections in the European Union: the public health and animal health challenges“. The webinar is organised by experts from the Istituto Zooprofilattico Sperimentale delle Venezie (IZSVe) and the University of Padova – Italy, and it will be held on Friday 25 February 2022 – 09:30-12:30 CET.

This webinar is part of the project entitled Review and evaluation of public health and animal health aspects of West Nile virus and Usutu virus infections in European Union, jointly launched by ECDC and EFSA in March 2021 and run by IZSVe and University of Padova that will present the main results.

Furthermore, thanks to the contribution of experts in the field, two relevant topics will be explored: the state of the art of Usutu virus infection in humans and animals, and SoHO safety as one of the main objectives of WNV surveillance and control plans in Europe.
