The IZSVe appointed as European Union Reference Laboratory (EURL) for Avian Influenza and Newcastle Disease

The IZSVe has been officially appointed as European Union reference laboratory (EURL) for Avian Influenza and Newcastle Disease and the official designation will be ratified by the Standing Veterinary Committee (Standing Committee on Plants, Animals, Food and Feed) in the next weeks.

The IZSVe already hosts the Italian National Reference Centre, the OIE Reference Laboratory for Avian Influenza and Newcastle Disease, and the FAO Reference Centre for Animal Influenza and Newcastle Disease.
